Where in the hell am I?

One of the things that archaeologists have to do is make drawings of things. We have to make sketch maps of sites, plan maps and profile drawings of features, technical drawings of artifacts.

Drawing is not one of my strong suits. Having to do it stresses me out and takes me twice as long as most others. It doesn’t help that I have to fight my perfectionist tendencies, even though I know I kinda suck at art.

Anyway, enjoy my profile drawing of one of the brick walls of the weird feature outside Laredo:

(ps: this is obviously a bit of a placeholder while I’m too busy with other things to blog about the weird ass brick feature)

  1. On the contrary, that looks like a damned good profile of the feature! I’ve just got back from my first field school ever (at Castalian Springs, Tennessee) and I am enjoying reading your blog about your CRM exploits. I can’t wait to read more!
