Where in the hell am I? Rawlins, Wyoming!!

Our Denver office needed some extra people for a wind farm survey here, and our office was a little slow, so I got sent to Wyoming along with two of my co-workers for 2 weeks. The project is actually going to last 3-4 weeks, but I guess we’re needed back in Austin for one of our own projects.

We’re working 12 straight ten-hour days, plus our 2 travel days. This works out to two 40 hour weeks bracketing a 70 hour week, which means lots of overtime!

I saw the Pixies last night, then got about 3 hours sleep so that we could catch a 6am flight to Denver. We had a brief kick-off meeting there, along with some ATV training, then a 4 hour drive to Rawlins. It’s 8:30 local (Mountain) time right now, which means I’ve been up for almost 18 hours! I’m trying to stay up until at least 10 to get on a regular sleep schedule, but I don’t know if I’ll make it…

More details about the project (which is really interesting!) and first impressions of Wyoming tomorrow.
